HR support agent

An agent employees reach from your intranet to ask HR questions — time off, benefits, pay — answered for them specifically, because the widget knows who they are through single sign-on.

What you’ll connect

Build it

1

Start from the HR support template

Create an agent from the HR support template.
2

Connect your HRIS

Connect your HR system from the catalog. Reads run as each employee, so the agent can only see that person’s own data.
3

Add policy knowledge

Upload your benefits guides, leave policies, and FAQs into a custom knowledge collection so the agent answers from the authoritative documents and cites them.
4

Embed the widget with identity

Add the web widget to your intranet and choose an identity mode that signs employees in silently — an embedded token or a federated IdP token — so nobody logs in twice and the agent knows exactly whose balances to look up. Add your intranet’s origin to Allowed origins.
5

Set boundaries and test

On the profile, enable safety boundaries for sensitive topics (compensation, legal) and hand those off to a human. Test in Preview with a real question before going live.

Notes

  • Identity matters here. Because the agent answers personally, use a verified identity mode — see End-user identity.
  • For the widest coverage, provision employees ahead of time with SCIM so everyone is known on first contact.
